How Can You Help?
After seeing the information on my website you may be wondering "how can I help?". There are many different ways you can contribute to the fight for voting rights. For example, you could support the voting rights groups I mentioned under the section entitled "What is Being Done?". You can support these organizations by donating, spreading the word about them, offering any expertise you may have that could help them more effectively create change, or volunteering.
I create this website mostly to inform people about voting rights, because I believe that before people take action they must be informed about voting rights and what exactly needs to be done. Make sure that you read over the information on my website or do research on your own so you can make a truly informed decision when you decide how you want to help protect voting rights. Any of the organizations I mentioned in the "What is Being Done?" section of my website are good options for organizations to support.
One thing that I believe is very important is that you vote in elections, and you encourage as many people as you can to do the same. Who represents us matters, and if you can try and increase voter turnout, especially in underrepresented communities, that could have a big impact on who are the people leading our government. Many people may not know the rules and requirements for voting. Informing people about these rules could make it easier for people to vote because they would understand the rules. If you know anyone that might have difficulty being able to vote for any reason, for example because they are elderly, or because they are a single parent and can't leave their kids alone, then try and help them out however you can to make the process easier for them.
All of these things could make a difference. Encourage other people to help out to! This is an important fight, and everyone must work together to make a difference. Along with all of this, make sure you vote as well!
